No SmokingHowling Wolf is a cozy, private 2-story, 1-bedroom, 1- 3/4-bathroom cabin with a sleeping loft, in the Wolf Creek 'woods'. The main floor has an open living/eating area with propane stove and convertible double futon, full kitchen, and 3/4 bath with shower. The second floor features the master bedroom with private bathroom and jetted soaking tub. There is also a large loft with one queen and 1 twin/trundle bed.
This inviting cabin is a short walk from both the Methow River and the MVSTA Community Trail. You can sit on the front porch or back deck enjoying the beautiful setting in a grove of Aspens and wild roses or explore the 40+ acres of shared property which includes almost a half-mile of river-front.
**Please note...Reservations are for Howling Wolf only and no additional RV’s, tents and campers are not allowed on the property as a part of their reservations.**Howling Wolf Cabin is one of several individually owned lodgings clustered together in the Wolf Creek area. You can rent as little as a single cabin, or combine together with other places to accommodate larger groups.

In winter, the Methow Valley is well known for its sunshine and powder snow, providing the best cross country skiing, alpine skiing and winter sports to be found anywhere.

Uniquely stlyed handcrafted log cabin set in the woods. Distinctively crafted beams and rails are the hallmark of this one of a kind lodging facility.
Unit includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room with gas fire stove, TV (no reception), VCR/DVD/CD player, phone, and downstairs bathroom. Upstairs consists of a master bedroom with a sleep number bed, and jetted tub in the bath off the bedroom. The loft also contins a queen bed and the single in the loft. The futon in the living room makes into a double bed and has an upgraded futon mattress. There is a balcony off of bedroom which overlooks the peaceful woods.
Howlin' Wolf Cabin is fully furnished with our own hand-crafted log creations which are built on-site.

We had a great time. We came up for the weekend to do some fall larch hikes and this was a great home base. Easy to find. My 5 year old loved the small playground. It was nice to walk around the property before dinner. We would love to stay again in warm weather to use the pool!
Cabin was clean and the location was peaceful.
Great cabin, nicely appointed and within walking distance access to cross country skiing trails.
The cabin is walking distance to the MCT and is quite cozy and comfortable. The hot tub and ping pong in the communal area are bonuses.

The cabin was great for all of us including the dogs. We had so much fun on the river during the day and at the cabin in the evenings. Great spot to stay when in the Methow Valley.
We had a wonderful stay at Howling Wolf cabin for a few days or relaxing, hiking, biking and exploring the beautiful Winthrop area. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed. We really appreciated the trail maps and the guide book for tips where to eat. The location is quiet, private and just a great place to soak in the outdoors on the front porch. Our kids enjoyed the pool even though the hours were a little short, still a great amenity. The ping pong table, playground and biking trails near by allow for lots of activities without getting into the car. We biked from Winthrop to the cabin so it's a perfect location. Also the main road that the resort is on turns into a mountain biking trail. Overall just a perfect place for a family.
Perfect little getaway! We love Winthrop, and this cabin checked all the boxes! Enough living space, comfy beds, accommodating kitchen. There's even a hot tub nearby! Definitely enjoyed our stay!
