No SmokingA warm and welcoming gem hidden in the heart of Winthrop, Starry Night Retreat is the ideal place for family and friends to experience the starry nights and sunny days of the MethowValley. The three-bedroom house has been newly renovated and is well appointed with bedding and towels, heated mattress pads, warm throws, and a well-stocked kitchen. A modern,black and white Scandinavian theme, brightened by colorful pieces of art, runs throughout the one-level house. An open floor plan includes a living room with a gas fireplace, a dining area with seating for 6, and a fully-equipped kitchen with an adjacent ¾ bath.
Next to the living room is a cozy library and smart TV. Down the hall are three spacious bedrooms — two with queen beds, the third with a king bed. All are sparkling clean and inviting.A second ¾ bath and separate laundry room with washer and dryer complete the area. Off the kitchen, a sliding glass door leads to a large, fenced back yard with room for children to play and dogs to romp — a perfect spot for a BBQ on a warm summer evening.
Internet service is provided, with off-street parking for at least three vehicles. The town of Winthrop is a short walk away, and there’s easy access to hiking and x-country skiing trails. A welcome basket with snacks and a bottle of local wine awaits each new visitor to this special Starry Night Retreat.

This is my second stay at this wonderful Winthrop gem and I will be back! The location, decor, yard, and proximity to nature checked all my boxes.

The location was so great! We enjoyed the walking down the street to shops and restaurants, and the house was so cozy and relaxing. Thank you! We loved our stay.

Were there any specific amenities you particularly enjoyed -- or missed -- at Starry Night Retreat?
Two bathrooms with showers was great with 6 adults and a toddler. The outdoor space and its many seating areas made for relaxing times talking or reading. And the walkability was excellent!

We had a great time. The house was very clean and had so many little extras, that made our stay so great. We loved the backyard and we played corn hole several times. The air conditioning units all worked great. The kitchen and bathrooms had EVERYTHING we could possibly need. It was so nice to be able to be able to walk to town for coffee, ice cream, etc. The only small inconvenience was that the toaster was broken.
We had a great time. The house was very clean and had so many little extras, that made our stay so great. We loved the backyard and we played corn hole several times. The air conditioning units all worked great. The kitchen and bathrooms had EVERYTHING we could possibly need. It was really nice to have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided. Kitchen had so many options, especially good options for coffee making. That said, the coffee filters were too small for that size coffee maker so we had to make coffee in batches. The larger filters would have been nice, but we made do!

Very comfortable place with nice amenities. Plenty of living space so we could all spread out & not feel cramped. Perfect location for walking into town. A/C worked great on some very hot days. Internet is not reliable but that’s not the fault of the proprietors — it’s just a rural area. They directed us to the brand-new town library where our teen could get his daily high-speed online fix. Thanks for a fun, relaxing stay.

Great place to stay if you are going to visit North Cascades National Park. Walking distance to stores and restaurants, river park and trails close by. Off street parking. Comfy beds, everything you could imagine needing was provided. Many coffee and tea options. Air conditioning worked well. Loved the bathrobes! Our dog loved the spacious backyard. Loved the dog towels!

Our stay at the starry night retreat was great for the July 4th holiday. We took our two dogs to Winthrop to escape the fireworks in western WA and were so glad to have a comfortable and quiet dog-friendly place. The backyard was excellent for our pups, and the neighborhood is very walkable. Bed was comfortable and the hosts were responsive.

Right around the corner from downtown, our family of parents and 3 kids (10-18) found this a comfy and well-appointed house. Roomy bedrooms and living spaces, the kitchen was pleasantly outfitted with oils, spices, vinegar, tea, coffee. AC available in all rooms, and the backyard was great with cherry trees and garden and tire swing. Highly recommended for anyone having it in beautiful Winthrop and the North Cascades.

This was a perfect spot for our grandkids and us to spend a few days in Winthrop. We used the swings and the corn hole game out back, did a jigsaw puzzle, prepared meals in the kitchen...the bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. We all agreed we'd stay here again the next time we come through.

It was a perfect gathering place for our family of 5. Very well stocked kitchen. Very clean throughout. Mattresses are very comfy. Great location, within walking distance to the main action of downtown. It was well worth the money and we would definitely rent this place again. Thank you!

My family and I stayed in your rental for my son's high school graduation and it was the perfect retreat! Cozy beds and couches, beautiful decor, clean, great kitchen, perfect location! We are already planning when we can come back again! We have stayed in several rentals and this was our favorite!

Great place for a small group to experience Methow Valley. Winthrop restaurants/bars and XC ski trailhead are walkable and short drive to other XC ski trailheads. The house suited our needs well!

This is the third time that my hockey group stayed at the Starry Retreat and we always absolutely love it. The home is beautiful, well kept, and very cozy. Methow Reservations was very quick to respond to any questions.
